  • Description: The CMT 93 cell line has been isolated from a 19 month old male mouse (C57BL/1CRF) which had received an i.p. injection of MAMA each week for 18 months. 4th in vivo passage - source of explant culture. Cells form acini and junctional complexes and produce large tumours in nude mice (6 x 1,000,000 cells inoculum) after 1 month.

  • Growth medium: Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:4 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 1-3x10,000 cells/cm?‹Â› using 0.25% trypsin; 5% CO2; 37?‚°C. Cells grow in clumps. Culture Medium: DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
