  • Name: Anti-Protein Kinase C a [133]
  • Alternate name: Protein kinase C alpha, PKC-A, PKC-alpha, PRKCA, PKCA, PRKACA
  • Research fields: Cancer;Neurobiology
  • Clone: 133
  • Tool sub type: Primary antibody
  • Class: Monoclonal
  • Conjugation: Unconjugated
  • Molecular weight: 75 kDa
  • Strain: Balb/c
  • Reactivity: Human ; Mammals
  • Host: Mouse
  • Application: IHC ; WB
  • Description: Monoclonal antibody which specifically detects the ? isoform of PKC. Background and Research Application The PKC family consists of fifteen isozymes in humans. Protein Kinase C alpha (PKC?) is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation during cell cycle progression. PKC-? is a 672 amino acid enzyme containing a single AGC-kinase C-terminal domain, a C2 domain, 2 phorbol-ester/DAGtype zinc fingers and a single protein kinase domain. Anti-PKC (133) recognizes the ? isoform of PKC and binds to a sequence at the C terminus of PKC? to detect its expression in vitro.
  • Immunogen: Recognizes sequence PQFVHPILQSAV at the C terminus at PKCa
  • Immunogen uniprot id: P17252
  • Isotype: IgG2a
  • Myeloma used: Sp2/0-Ag14
  • Recommended controls: Retina
