- Description: Monoclonal antibody which specifically detects the ? isoform of PKC. Background and Research Application The PKC family consists of fifteen isozymes in humans. Protein Kinase C alpha (PKC?) is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation during cell cycle progression. PKC-? is a 672 amino acid enzyme containing a single AGC-kinase C-terminal domain, a C2 domain, 2 phorbol-ester/DAGtype zinc fingers and a single protein kinase domain. Anti-PKC (133) recognizes the ? isoform of PKC and binds to a sequence at the C terminus of PKC? to detect its expression in vitro.
- Immunogen: Recognizes sequence PQFVHPILQSAV at the C terminus at PKCa
- Immunogen uniprot id: P17252
- Isotype: IgG2a
- Myeloma used: Sp2/0-Ag14
- Recommended controls: Retina
