  • Name: Anti-Desmoglein [33-3D]
  • Research fields: Cancer;Cell biology;Cell signaling and signal transduction
  • Clone: 33-3D
  • Tool sub type: Primary antibody
  • Class: Monoclonal
  • Conjugation: Unconjugated
  • Strain: Balb/c
  • Reactivity: Bovine ; Human
  • Host: Mouse
  • Application: EM (EM) ; IHC ; IF ; WB
  • Description: 33-3D is directed against desmoglein in mammalian tissues, tumours and cultured cells.
  • Immunogen: Bovine desmoglein (desmosomal glycoprotein 1) from nasal epidermis
  • Isotype: IgM
  • Myeloma used: P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
  • Recommended controls: 33-3D was validated on MDCK cells which are fixed using methanol (Vilela et al 1995).

Target Details

  • Target: Desmoglein 1 and 2
  • Tissue cell line specificity: 33-3D was validated on MDCK cells which are fixed using methanol (Vilela et al 1995).
  • Target background: Desmoglein 1 is a calcium-binding transmembrane glycoprotein component of desmosomes in vertebrate epithelial cells. Desmosomes are intercellular adhesive junctions that occur in almost all epithelia and should therefore be useful as epithelial markers in tumour diagnosis.
