  • Description: A549 lung adenocarcinoma line knocked-out for the tumour suppressor gene LIMD1, which is commonly lost as an early event in lung oncogenesis. This gene encodes a scaffold protein suppressesing tumorigenesis via a number of different mechanisms. This line has been used to test drugs in LIMD1-deficient lung cancers, both in vitro an in vivo. When inoculated into NOD/SCID mice subcutaneously, CRISPR-Cas9-generated LUAD A549 LIMD1+/+ and LIMD1?/? cells generate LIMD1+/+ and LIMD1?/? tumours, respectively.
