- Description: This antibody is useful for the detection of WIPI-2, an essential protein for autophagy.
- Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-terminus of WIPI2b CSALRLDEDSEHPPMILRTD
- Isotype: IgG1 kappa
- Recommended controls: HEK293 cells
Target Details
- Target: WIPI2
- Molecular weight: 49 kDa
- Tissue cell line specificity: HEK293 cells
- Target background: WIPI2 is a mammalian effector of PtdIns3P and is ubiquitously expressed in a variety of cell lines. WIPI2 is recruited to early autophagosomal structures along with Atg16L and ULK1 and is required for the formation of LC3-positive autophagosomes. WIPI-2 is the mammalian homologue of Atg18.
