Product description: High-titer retroviral empty backbone pBABE vector, ready for cloning. pBABE-puro enables stable gene delivery and expression in mammalian cells with MO-MuLV LTR-driven expression for reliable, long-term transgene production. Features puromycin selection for rapid cell selection and broad cell line applicability. pBABE-puro is a part of the established pBABE vector system, developed by Morgenstern and Land 1990. Key features include: high viral titers for efficient transduction, stable long-term gene expression via LTR promoter and helper-free design which minimises contamination risk.
Additional notes: The pBABE vectors prove useful in experiments where highest frequencies of gene transfer, or concomitant expression of several different genes within a single cell are required with minimal risk of helper virus contamination.
