| Product description: | A monoclonal antibody for HSPB1p82 (clone 1.2) also known as HSP27p82. This antibody targets HSPB1 (HSP27) a small heat shock protein which is involved in TP53 turnover, steroid receptor maturation, cytoskeletal dynamics, regulation of proteostasis and apoptosis. This antibody recognises HSPB1 when phosphorylated at serine 82. Phosphorylation of HSP27 can cause conformational change in the tertiary structure resulting in decreased oligomeric size. |
| Conjugation: | Unconjugated |
| Isotype: | IgG |
| Immunogen: | peptide crosslinked to KLH |
| Target background: | Hsp27 is an ATP-independent molecular chaperone with well-described tumorigenic and metastatic roles, characterized by its dynamic phosphorylation leading to heterogeneous oligomerization under different conditions such as stress |
