- Name: Anti-Laminin alpha 5 [8G9]
- Clone: 8G9
- Class: Monoclonal
- Conjugation: Unconjugated
- Cell signalling pathway: ERK
- Molecular weight: 400 kDa
- Reactivity: Human
- Host: Mouse
- Disease: Nephrotic Syndrome, Type 26 and Bent Bone Dysplasia Syndrome 2
- Application: ELISA ; IHC
- Description: Anti-Laminin alpha 5 (LMa5) monoclonal antibody recognises an epitope near the integrin-binding domain of the LMa5 chain. This antibody clone was shown to inhibit Α3 Β1/Α6 Β1 integrin-mediated adhesion and migration of glioma, melanoma, and carcinoma cells on laminin-511 (Wondimu et al. 2013). This antibody has a novel epitope localised at or near the integrin-binding globular domain of the LMΑ5 chain, which is essential for cell adhesion and migration, and identifies a potential therapeutic target in malignant and inflammatory diseases.
- Immunogen: Natural human laminin-511 purified from A549 lung adenocarcinoma cells
- Isotype: IgG1
Target Details
- Target: Laminin alpha 5
- Target alternate names: LAMA5, Laminin, alpha 5, laminin subunit alpha 5
- Molecular weight: 400 kDa
- Target background: Laminin alpha 5 is one of the subunits of laminin 5, one of the extracellular matrix glycoproteins abundantly present in the basement membranes of blood vessels. Laminin 5 is involved in many biological processes, such as cell adhesion, differentiation, migration, signalling, neurite outgrowth and metastasis.
Applications
- Application: ELISA ; IHC
- Application notes: For ELISA, a working concentration of 1 mg/ml is recommended
