- Description: The red single-wavelength genetically encoded calcium indicator (GECI), based on mApple (jRGECO1a), with sensitivity comparable to the GFP-based GCaMP6. The red GECI tool was tested in cultured neurons and in mouse, Drosophila, zebrafish and C. elegans. This plasmid has a Cre recombinase-activated jRGECO1a expressed from the Synapsin promoter.
