  • Tool name: TG-aMHC-STOP-CD63NanoLuc mouse
  • Research fields: Cell biology;Cell signaling and signal transduction;Tissue-specific biology
  • Tool sub type: Mouse
  • Model: Knock-In
  • Conditional: Yes
  • Conditional description: CD63Nan
  • Description: This mouse models allows for researchers to track an visualize endogenous exosomes in real time. A NanoLuc reporter is fused to the exosome surface marker CD63 and expression is under control of a cardiomyocyte-specific promoter and conditional for tamoxifen.
  • Genetic background: In order to achieve a controllable exosome tagging, a dSTOP sequence flanked by two loxP sites was introduced upstream of CD63NanoLuc, and the expression cassette was driven by cardiomyocyte-specific Îą-MHC promoter (Fig). Linearized DNA containing ÎąMHC-STOP-CD63NanoLuc cassette was used for pronuclear microinjection to generate the founder of the transgenic strain.
  • Phenotype: Please see linked reference that details the generation and characterization of this mouse model.
  • Strain: C57BL/6
  • Additional notes: Please see linked reference that details the generation and characterization of this mouse model.
