  • Description: The T47D/S2 cell line is a control cell line for the tamoxifen resistant T47D/TR-1 and T47D/TR-2 cell lines. This cell line has been established by the reduction of the serum concentration in order to enable growth inhibiton with tamoxifen. T47D/S2 is adherent and the morphology is polygonal epithelial. T47D/S2 cells express oestrogen receptor (alpha) and progesterone receptor. This cell line allows the study of the mechanisms involved in tamoxifen resistant breast cancer cell growth.
