- Name: UOL-HepCYB11 cell line
- Research fields: Drug development
- Parental cell: HepG2
- Organism: Human
- Tissue: Liver
- Disease: Mitochondrial Subhaplogroup : J1c1c
- Growth properties: Adherent
- Model description: Cybrid Cell Line
- Description: This cell line consists of HepG2 cybrid cell lines negative for cellular mitochondrial DNA, fused with different platelet partners (platelets contain only mitochondrial DNA and no nuclear DNA). Each cybrid cell line has a combination of SNPs in mitochondrial DNA, relevant to a variety of diseases. Cybrid cell line panel has potential use for drug testing
- Additional notes: Parental cell line was purchased from ECACC
