Product description: JIM1 is a multiple myeloma cell line established from plasma myeloma cells derived from pleural fluid of an advanced multiple myeloma patient (Hamilton et al., 1991). The cell line exhibits deficient DNA mismatch repair (MMR) capacity with reduced heteroduplex G/T repair activity (Velangi et al., 2004). JIM1 displays a plasma cell phenotype (CD38+, PCA-1+, CD24+) (Hamilton et al., 1991) and serves as a well characterised model for studying DNA repair deficiency, and therapeutic vulnerabilities in multiple myeloma research.
