CHO DC-SIGN WT is a Chinese hamster ovary cell line expressing wild-type DC-SIGN/CD209, a C-type lectin receptor involved in pathogen recognition and ligand binding. It provides a cell-based model for studying DC-SIGN-mediated interactions with microbial and viral ligands, including pathogens such as HIV-1, Ebola virus, hepatitis C virus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Candida albicans. It is suitable for studies of receptor–ligand binding, pathogen recognition and C-type lectin receptor biology.
