TR146 sc2B4

The TR146 cell line has been used as a model system for epithelial barriers such the blood saliva barrier. In transwell assays with an air-liquid interface, the TR146 sub clone 2B4 has improved barrier function assessed by an increased transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) and reduced transport of 5(6)-carboxyfluorescein across the epithelial barrier.
