- Description: HD 8B6 has potential uses in the diagnosis of ovarian and testicular tumours. The antibody detects both Regan and Nagao isoenzymes.
- Immunogen: Fresh Hep-2 cells followed by booster injections of fresh Hep-2 cells that have had their surface expression of PLAP boosted in culture.
- Immunogen uniprot id: P05187
- Isotype: IgG2a
- Myeloma used: P3/NS1/1-Ag4.1
Target Details
- Target: Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP), Regan and Nagao isoenzymes.
- Target background: Alkaline phosphatases are phosphodiesterases. The placental-specific isozyme of Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP) is found in trophoblast cells of normal human mature placenta, seminomas of testis and ovarian carcinomas. The detection of alkaline phosphatase in serum is a marker for ovarian and testicular cancer.
