| Product description: | Spag17 flox mouse to generate the Spag17 knockout mouse after Cre recombination. Spag17 is a complex gene associated with cilia and microtubule cytoskeleton. Loss of Spag17 leads to developmental defects, primary cilia dyskinesia, accelerated aging, male infertility, and multi-organ fibrosis. The novel flox mouse model that was created has the potential to generate a knockout for Spag17 once crossed with a Cre mouse. |

| Production details: | Embryonic stem cells with conditional potential were used to generate chimeric mice which were crossed to C57BL/6J wild-type females. Resulting mice were crossed to 129S4/SvJaeSor-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(FLP1)Dym/J mice to remove the Neo cassette. The Spag17+/flox mice were used for mating with CMV-Cre (B6.C-Tg(CMV-cre)1Cgn/J) mice to generate Spag17+/?;CMV-Cre mice. Male and female Spag17+/?;CMV-Cre mice were mated, resulting in Mendelian inheritance for Spag17?/?;CMV-Cre mice. Afterwards, mice dem… |
