| Product description: | SK-N-BE(2)-C is a clonal subline of the SK-N-BE(2) neuroblastoma cell line. Like the parental cell line, these cells display MYCN amplification. Treatment with trans-retinoic acid differentiates these cells into a distinct neuronal phenotype. These cells display high levels of tyrosine hydroxylase activity and dopamine-b-hydroxylase activity. |
| Gender: | Male |
| Additional notes: | BE(2)-C cells have a reported saturation density of greater than 5 X 105 cells/cm2. The cells grow as clusters of flattened neuroblastic cells with occasional fine cell processes (neurites). Unlike the parent line, they generally do not detach and float. |
