Product description: JIM1 is a human multiple myeloma cell line established from plasma myeloma cells isolated from the pleural fluid of a female patient with advanced multiple myeloma. Homoplastic with the JIM3 cell line, JIM1 displays a typical plasma cell phenotype, expressing CD38, PCA-1 8A and CD24, and is deficient in DNA repair. The cell line provides a valuable model for studying genetic instability and the effects of DNA repair deficiency in multiple myeloma.
