Target background: Laminin alpha 4 is one of the subunits of laminin 4, one of the extracellular matrix glycoproteins abundantly present in the basement membranes of blood vessels. The laminin alpha 4 contains the C-terminal G domain, which distinguishes all alpha chains from the beta and gamma chains. Although it seems involved in development, the exact function of laminin alpha 4 is unknown.
