HCI-002 breast cancer PDX

Breast cancer patient-derived xenograft (PDX) model, HCI-002, one of a collection of 53 models spanning aggressive, metastatic, and treatment-resistant subtypes, that recapitulates key characteristics of original patient tumour. This model was generated from a sample of breast tumour from a Caucasian female, 61 years old with a primary diagnosis of infiltrating ductal carcinoma (IDC). The patient had been a smoker for 40 years, had not undergone radiation therapy or systemic treatment prior to collection, and had clinical metastasis to lymph node, bone, and lung.
