License our research tools
License smarter. Research faster. Trusted tools with fair, transparent terms.
Why license research tools from CancerTools?
At CancerTools, we believe in accelerating cancer research through global access to trusted, academic-developed cancer research tools, supporting open science and reinvestment in future breakthroughs.
Through commercial licensing, we make tools accessible to companies and academics working on industry-sponsored research – ensuring compliance, quality, and impact. Our portfolio includes a wide range of research tools, including cancer cell lines, antibodies, patient-derived xenograft models and more, developed by Cancer Research UK and over 300 partner research institutes worldwide – all designed to enable cutting edge cancer discovery and innovation.
Licensing is not just a requirement – it’s a partnership. Our agreements have been signed by hundreds of global companies, ensuring compliance with intellectual property (IP) rights and other legal requirements, to respect the contributions of the academic scientists who develop these tools while allowing us to stay true to our non-profit mission, aligned with Cancer Research UK.
- Global trust: Hundreds of companies worldwide license our tools.
- Compliance and quality: We ensure legal, ethical and quality standards.
- Driving innovation: We offer authentic tools for reliable, reproducible research.
- Funding Cancer Research: Licensing revenue goes back into cancer research and often directly supports inventors.
- Inventor recognition: We ensure proper accreditation in research using their tools.

How licensing works
Get the tools you need to accelerate your research goals, while supporting reinvestment into future cancer breakthroughs.
- Submit your request: Reach out to us via our licensing request form with the research tool you’re interested in. We’ll ask a few questions to understand your project and how you intend to use the desired tool.
