The GCGR cell lines comprise a panel of primary, patient‑derived IDH‑wildtype glioblastoma stem‑like models developed to capture inter‑patient heterogeneity in tumour growth, behaviour, and molecular features.

Product description: GCGR‑E53 is a primary, patient‑derived, IDH‑wildtype glioblastoma stem‑like cell line derived from human tumour tissue. The line grows as an adherent, laminin‑dependent monolayer, has a doubling time of approximately 108 hours, and is tumourigenic in vivo. Early‑passage transcriptomic profiling (P3) indicated a proneural‑like transcriptional state based on probability scoring. The line shows a development‑like gene expression phenotype with low enrichment for mesenchymal‑immune (MESImm) gene programmes. GCGR‑E53 is used in studies of glioblastoma stem‑like cell behaviour, tumour initiation, and pathways associated with proneural‑like states, supporting viability assays and immunocytochemical phenotyping.
Production details: Derived from surgically resected primary glioblastoma tissue and expanded as an adherent monolayer under laminin-supported condition
Additional notes: This cell line is a primary glioblastoma stem‑like model derived from a single patient tumour and exhibits intrinsic cellular heterogeneity, reflecting the diversity and plasticity typical of glioblastoma. Transcriptional state classifications were assessed at early passage (P3) and may change in culture
Format: Frozen
Growth medium: Serum‑free DMEM/HAMS‑F12 (“Complete + EFL”) supplemented with glucose, NEAA, B27, N2, BSA, beta‑mercaptoethanol, Pen/Strep, and recombinant EGF (10 ng/mL), FGF‑2 (10 ng/mL), plus laminin‑1 (2 ug/mL). Laminin is required for adherent growth.
Subculture routine: Passage at 80–90% confluence; split 1:4–1:6; detach using Accutase; avoid over‑dilution; replace medium weekly
