  • Host: Mouse
  • Application: IP, Function Blocking
  • Description: Anti-human NKG2D is a monoclonal antibody to NKD2D. NKG2D is a MICA Receptor found on ?? T cells and CD8+ ?? T cells, natural killer (NK) cells and is frequently expressed in epithelial tumors. The 1D11 antibody blocks MICA binding to T cells, induces redirected lysis, and costimulates T cells activation and proliferation
  • Isotype: IgG1, ?

Target Details

  • Target: MICA receptor NKG2D
  • Molecular weight: 42kDa
  • Target background: NKG2D is a receptor for MICA detected on most ?? T cells, CD81 ?? T cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. Effector cells from all these subsets could be stimulated by ligation of NKG2D. Engagement of NKG2D activated cytolytic responses of ?? T cells and NK cells against transfectants and epithelial tumor cells expressing MICA.

Applications

  • Application: IP, Function Blocking
  • Application notes: A good starting concentration for immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunocytochemistry (ICC) when using mouse Ig is 2-5 ug/ml. For western blots, the recommended concentration range of mouse Ig 0.2-0.5 ug/ml. In general, rabbit antibodies demonstrate greater affinity and are used at a magnitude lower Ig concentration for initial testing. The recommended concentrations for rabbit Ig are 0.2-0.5 ug/ml (IF, IHC and ICC) and 20-50 ng/ml (WB).

Handling

  • Storage conditions: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2° C and 8° C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. For immediate use, short term storage at 4° C up to two weeks is recommended. For long term storage, divide the solution into volumes of no less than 20 ul for freezing at -20° C or -80° C. Freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided.
