- Application: WB
- Description: Antibody for BOP1 (aka Blocking Protein 1 or BOP1 ribosomal biogenesis factor), a protein encoded by the BOP1 gene. It is involved in regulation of cell cycle, signal transduction by p53 class mediator, and ribosomal large subunit biogenesis. BOP1 has also been implicated in several cancer types including colorectal cancer where overexpression is associated with a poor patient prognosis.
- Immunogen: Ovalbumin coupled to SRGAGRTAAPSVRPEK peptide
- Isotype: IgG1, k
Target Details
- Target: Human Block of Proliferation 1 (BOP1)
- Target alternate names: Ribosome Biogenesis Protein BOP1
- Target background: Ribosome biogenesis protein BOP1 is a component of PeBoW that is involved in ribosome biogenesis and cell proliferation. Changes in Bop1 protein level affect the assembly and integrity of PeBoW (Pes1, Bop1, and WDR12) complex. Overexpression of Bop1 mRNA is associated with the development of colorectal cancer.
